Turkey’s wire rod exports up 34 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 42.7 percent year on year to 183,393 metric tons, down 3.5 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $99.4 million, down 5.06 percent month on month and rising by 41.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the January-November period of last year, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 34 percent to 1.6 million mt, while the revenue from these exports went up by 62.1 percent to $916.9 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 300,279 metric tons. Israel was followed by Belgium with 294,036 metric tons and the Netherlands with 168,172 metric tons.
