Turkey’s wire rod exports up 30.3 percent in January-July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 79.3 percent year on year to 186,067 metric tons, up 43.3 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $94.88 million, up 41.75 percent month on month and increasing by 55.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 1.18 million metric tons, up 30.3 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $600.45 million, increasing by 12.7 percent compared to same period of 2018.

In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 260,707 metric tons. Israel was followed by the Netherlands with 103,213 metric tons and Romania with 68,236 metric tons.
