Turkey’s wire rod exports up 28.3 percent in January-September

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 24.7 percent year on year to 72,748 metric tons, down 19.2 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $37.7 million, down 10 percent month on month and remaining stable compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first nine months, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 28.3 percent to 951,284 mt, while the revenue from these exports increased by 47.3 percent to $431.8 million, both year on year.
 
In the first nine months of the current year, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 183,574 metric tons. Israel was followed by the US with 103,180 metric tons and Singapore with 80,123 metric tons.
