Turkey’s wire rod exports up 15.4 percent in January-July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 120 percent year on year to 104,443 metric tons, up 47.2 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $61.4 million, up 46 percent month on month and rising by 180 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first seven months of the current year, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 15.4 percent to 905,671 mt, while the revenue from these exports went up by 51 percent to $534 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Belgium which received 176,404 metric tons. Belgium was followed by Israel with 154,663 metric tons and the Netherlands with 96,128 metric tons.
