Turkey’s wire rod exports down 34.4 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 34.4 percent year on year to 111,977 metric tons, up 7.5 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $52 million, up 12 percent month on month and decreasing by 41.2 percent compared to the same month of 2019.

In the given month, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 45,572 metric tons. Israel was followed by Singapore with 16,574 metric tons and Egypt with 8,499 metric tons.
