Turkey’s welded pipe exports rise in Jan-Aug

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's longitudinally welded pipe exports totaled 116,298 mt, falling 8.9 percent compared to the previous month and up 20.8 percent compared to August 2011. In the first eight months of the current year, Turkish longitunally welded pipe exports amounted to 1 million mt, increasing 9.4 percent compared to the same period of 2011.

Meanwhile in August, the country's spirally welded pipe exports totaled 22,462 mt, rising significantly compared to the 6,819 mt of spirally welded pipe exported in the previous month and compared to the 5,431 mt recorded in the same month of 2011. In the first eight months, the spirally welded pipe exports of Turkey amounted to 116,336 mt, up 3.4 percent compared to the January-August period of 2011.
 
The value of Turkey's spirally welded and longitudinally welded pipe exports in the first eight months amounted to $894.5 million and $129 million respectively, decreasing by one percent and up 10.8 percent year on year.
