Turkey’s tube and profile exports increase in Nov

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November 2012 Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports totaled 42,137 mt, rising 13.1 percent compared to the previous month and up 67 percent compared to November 2011. In the first 11 months of last year, Turkish longitudindally welded tube and profile exports amounted to 468,221 mt, increasing by 22.6 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
 
In November, the country's spirally welded pipe exports totaled 32,397 mt, rising 84.8 percent compared to the previous month and up 31.1 percent compared to the same month of 2011. Meanwhile, in November the total angle, shape and section exports of Turkey came to 139,256 mt, rising 31.1 percent compared to the previous month and up 3.7 percent compared to November 2011. In the first 11 months, Turkey's spirally welded pipe exports amounted to 184,372 mt while its total angle, shape and section exports came to 1.5 million mt, falling 3.75 percent and up 1.5 percent respectively, both compared to the January-November period of 2011.
 
In November last year, Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports to the EU increased to 25,883 mt, up 61.8 percent over the previous month and more than double compared to the same month of 2011. However, Turkey did not export any longitudinally welded tubes and profiles to the US in November, even though the US was Turkey's top export destination for these products in the January-November period of last year.
