Turkey's steel pipe exports to UK more than double in Jan-Apr

In the first four months of the current year, Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 4.04 percent year on year to 629,182 metric tons, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID). The value of these export totaled $541.43 million, increasing by 0.89 percent year on year. With the effect of the increasing exports, Turkey's steel pipe output reached 1 million mt in the given period.
 
In the first four months this year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the UK and the US. In the given period, Turkish steel pipe exports to Iraq decreased by 2.95 percent to 135,487 mt, while exports to the UK increased by 104.36 percent to 101,176 mt and exports to the US decreased by 6.91 percent to 84,884 mt, all year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's steel pipe exports to Israel increased by 104.75 percent year on year.
 
On the other hand, in April this year, Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 11.85 percent year on year and were down 8.65 percent month on month, amounting to 160,459 mt. The value of these exports was $141.34 million, up 11.96 percent year on year and down 5.50 percent month on month.
