Turkey’s steel imports from China down 17.9 percent in January-November

As stated by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), in November last year Turkey’s steel imports from China fell by 79.5 percent to 82,400 mt, year on year, mostly due to the decrease in billet imports. 
  
Turkey’s steel imports from China in the January-November period of last year fell by 17.9 percent on year-on-year basis to 2.24 million mt, with the impact of the sharp decrease in November imports from China.
 
In the first eleven months of last year, Turkey’s flat steel imports from China decreased by 34 percent to 505,700 mt, while its long steel imports from the same country were up by 41.3 percent to 303,243 mt, both on year-on-year basis.
