In the first nine months of this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 8.3 percent year on year to 13.5 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 21.8 percent year on year to $9.6 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports fell by 11.2 percent to 6.7 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 55 percent to 3.2 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
In the first nine months, the country’s semi-finished steel exports grew by 296 percent to 663,000 mt, year on year. In the same period, pipes and tube exports of the country increased by 7.8 percent to 1.4 million mt, year on year.
In September this year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 14.3 percent to 1.12 million mt, with a value of 934.8 million $, up 8.6 percent, both year on year.
In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports fell by 10.2 percent year on year to 282,000 mt, while the long steel product exports of the country decreased by 29.3 percent year on year to 489,000 mt.
In the given month, the country’s semi-finished steel exports increased by 1104 percent to 38,000 mt, year on year.
