In the first ten months of this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 7.3 percent year on year to 14.9 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 21.8 percent year on year to $10.7 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports fell by 11.2 percent to 7.5 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 47.6 percent to 3.5 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
In the first ten months, the country’s semi-finished steel exports grew by 299 percent to 725,000 mt, year on year. In the same period, pipes and tube exports of the country increased by 8.3 percent to 1.5 million mt, year on year.
In October this year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 0.6 percent to 1.41 million mt, with a value of $1.14 billion, up 22.8 percent, both year on year.
In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports fell by 3.6 percent year on year to 286,000 mt, while the long steel product exports of the country decreased by 10.8 percent year on year to 724,000 mt.
In the same month, the country’s semi-finished steel exports increased by 334.7 percent to 61,000 mt, year on year.
