In the January-October period of this year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 0.1 percent year on year to 13.95 million mt, while the value of these exports decreased by 11.5 percent year on year to $8.84 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports fell by 0.3 percent to 8.5 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 14.4 percent to 2.38 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
In October this year, Turkey's steel exports grew by 2.8 percent to 1.44 million mt, with a value of $943.3 million, up 0.7 percent, both year on year.
In October, the increase in exports of flat steel products continued on year-on-year basis. In October this year, Turkey's flat steel exports grew by 11.3 percent to 301,376 mt, while the long steel product exports of the country increased by 8.6 percent to 822,682 mt, both compared to the same month of 2015.
