Turkey’s steel export value up 4.3% in Oct over Sept

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in October this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.3 billion in value, increasing by 1.7 percent year on year and up 4.3 percent as compared to the previous month.

In October this year, of Turkey's industrial sectors, steel was the sector with the third highest export value, while the motor vehicle sector was the sector with the second highest export value with $1.6 billion, decreasing by 7.3 percent compared to October 2011. Chemicals and chemical products was the sector with the highest export value in the given month.

On the other hand, in the first 10 months of this year Turkey's steel export value came to $13.1 billion, rising by 4.4 percent year on year.
