Turkey’s steel export value up 3.2% in Jan-Sept

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in September this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.28 billion in value, decreasing by 3.8 percent year on year and down 4.45 percent as compared to the previous month.
 
In September this year, of Turkey's industrial sectors, steel was the sector with the fourth highest export value, while the motor vehicle sector was the sector with the highest export value with $1.5 billion, decreasing by 8.1 percent compared to September 2011.
 
On the other hand, in the first nine months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $11.8 billion, rising by 3.2 percent year on year.
