Turkey’s steel export value down 1.1 percent in Q1

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in March this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.5 billion in value, increasing by 10.3 percent year on year and up 17.8 percent as compared to the previous month.

In March this year, Turkey's motor vehicle sector had the highest export value of the country's industrial sectors with $1.9 billion, while steel was the sector with the third highest export value.

On the other hand, in the first three months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $3.9 billion, falling by 1.1 percent year on year.
