Turkey’s rebar exports up 9.9 percent in January-October

In October this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 754,446 metric tons, up 48.6 percent compared to September and increasing by 84.22 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $388.11 million, rising by 83.2 percent compared to October 2017 and up 35.5 percent month on month.

In the January-October period of the current year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 4.88 million mt, up 9.9 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 36 percent to $2.66 billion, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 696,766 metric tons, up 39.8 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 581,769 metric tons and Canada with 307,802 metric tons.
