In December last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 503,077 metric tons, down 13.2 percent compared to November and rising by 37 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $250 million, rising by 30.9 percent compared to December 2017 and down 14.8 percent month on month.
Last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 5.95 million mt, up 9.4 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 29.8 percent to $3.2 billion, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 779,935 metric tons, up 10.53 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 747,811 metric tons and Singapore with 393,197 metric tons.
