Turkey’s rebar exports up 7.3 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 584,125 metric tons, down 22.6 percent compared to October and falling by 9.2 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $295.4 million, falling by 8.7 percent compared to November 2017 and down 23.88 percent month on month.

 

In the January-November period of last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 5.45 million mt, up 7.3 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 29.5 percent to $2.95 billion, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 767,777 metric tons, up 20 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 675,103 metric tons and Singapore with 352,424 metric tons.
