Turkey’s rebar exports down 17.6 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 643,299 metric tons, up 57.1 percent compared to October and increasing by 29.8 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $323.5 million, increasing by 70.1 percent compared to November 2016 and up 52.7 percent month on month.

In the first 11 months of 2017, Turkey's rebar export volume amounted to 5.08 million mt, falling by 17.6 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 1.5 percent to $2.28 billion, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was the Yemen which received 639,813 metric tons, up 47.2 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 628,463 metric tons and the USA with 605,227 metric tons.
