Turkey’s rebar exports decrease 4.4 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 430,604 metric tons, down 27.2 percent compared to October and decreasing by 25.7 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $177.98 million, decreasing by 30.1 percent compared to October and down 39.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period last year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 5.21 million metric tons, down 4.4 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $2.39 billion, falling by 18.9 percent compared to the same period of 2018.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 849,697

metric tons, up 11.04 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 800,832 metric tons and Singapore with 586,378 metric tons.
