In October this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 600,969 metric tons, up 14 percent compared to September and decreasing by 19.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $258.61 million, increasing by 9.6 percent compared to September and up 32.9 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January- October period of this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 4.79 million metric tons, down 1.6 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $2.22 billion, falling by 16.4 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 764,536
metric tons, up 10.14 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 719,268 metric tons and Singapore with 544,541 metric tons.
