Turkey’s October industrial production index up 13.7 percent over September

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in October Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 6.5 percent year on year to 117.9, and was up 13.7 percent compared to September.

Among the various industrial sectors in Turkey, the production index in the mining sector in October this year increased by 5.2 percent, while the index for the manufacturing sector rose 6.6 percent, both compared with the same month of the previous year. The index for the electricity, gas and water sector also increased by 6.4 percent year on year.

In October this year, the index for the manufacture of basic metals rose 14.48 percent year on year and was up 7.36 percent over September, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products was up 1.41 percent year on year and increased by 11.25 percent compared to the previous month.
