According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports totaled 37,248 mt, falling 17.8 percent compared to the previous month and down 11.9 percent compared to October 2011. In the first 10 months of the current year, Turkish longitudindally welded tube and profile exports amounted to 426,084 mt, increasing by 19.5 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
In October, the country's spirally welded pipe exports totaled 17,533 mt, rising 1.1 percent compared to the previous month and down 43.2 percent compared to the same month of 2011. Meanwhile, in October total angle, shape and section exports of Turkey totaled 106,253 mt, falling 24 percent compared to the previous month and down 22.4 percent compared to October 2011. In the first 10 months, Turkey's spirally welded pipe exports amounted to 151,975 mt while its total angle, shape and section exports came to 1.4 million mt, falling 8.9 percent and up 1.25 percent respectively, both compared to the January-October period of 2011.
In October this year, Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports to the EU fell to 15,993 mt, decreasing 14.2 percent from the previous month and down 23 percent compared to the same month of 2011. Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports to the Middle East in October amounted to 7,709 mt, rising by 13.7 percent compared to the previous month and up 11 percent year on year.
