Turkey’s HRC exports up 6.1 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 17.1 percent to 268,974 metric tons compared to December and were up 6.1 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $117.34 million, up 17.3 percent month on month, while declining by 16.4 percent compared to the same month of 2019.
 
In January, Italy ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey amounting to 144,771 mt, up 55.2 percent year on year, followed by Egypt which received 42,810 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period.
