In November last year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports decreased by 15.4 percent to 219,927 metric tons compared to October and were down 47.8 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $100.43 million, decreasing by 21.6 percent month on month, while declining by 59.7 percent compared to the same month of 2018.
In the first 11 months last year, Turkey's HRC exports amounted to 2.84 million mt, down 8.7 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 23.2 percent to $1.47 billion, both compared to the same period of 2018.
In the first 11 months of 2019, Italy ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey amounting to 972,217 mt, down 18.01 percent, followed by Spain which received 520,293 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period, down 17.93 percent year on year.
