In November last year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 18.6 percent month on month to 78,062 mt as compared to the previous month and were up 28 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $49.6 million, decreasing by 10 percent month on month and up 68 percent year on year.
In the January-November period of 2017, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 847,049 mt, up 18 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 51.3 percent to $487.9 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 368,543 mt, up 16.93 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 112,657 mt, falling by 11.83 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
