In October this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 15.2 percent month on month to 95,911 mt as compared to the previous month and were up 64.9 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $55.15 million, decreasing by 12.8 percent month on month and up 88.4 percent year on year.
In the first ten months of the current year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 768,983 mt, up 17.1 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 49.5 percent to $438.2 million, both year on year.
In the first ten months, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 343,072 mt, up 18 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 97,665 mt, falling by 13 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
