In October this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 20.88 percent month on month to 59,894 mt, down 37.55 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $39.35 million, falling by 21.1 percent compared to September and down 28.6 percent year on year.
In the first ten months of the current year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 696,430 mt, down 9.4 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 5.8 percent to $463.8 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 337,715 mt, down 1.56 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from China totaled 94,568 mt.
