In February this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 20.3 percent month on month to 54,333 mt as compared to the previous month and were down 9.13 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $36.5 million, decreasing by 19.7 percent month on month and up 11.6 percent year on year.
In the first two months of the current year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 113,446 mt, down 0.5 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 23.6 percent to $75.3 million, both year on year
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 30,608 mt, down 46.51 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Belgium totaled 18,700 mt.
