Turkey's coking coal imports up 8.7 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 80.3 percent month on month to 719,301 mt, up 27.85 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports increased by 103.2 percent to $115.2 million compared to the previous month and rising by 93.9 percent year on year.

In the January-November period of last year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 8.7 percent to 5.17 million mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $897.2 million, up 105.6 percent, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US amounted to 2,045,932 mt, while coking coal imports from Australia totaled 1,318,067 mt.
