In October this year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 48.2 percent year on year to 591,563 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports increased by 93.8 percent to $109.88 million year on year.
In the January-October period of this year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 6.3 percent to 4.73 million mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $888.8 million, up 13.6 percent, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US amounted to 2,024,509 mt, while coking coal imports from Australia totaled 1,307,429 mt.
