Turkey's coking coal imports up 2.95 percent in January-July

In July this year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 184.6 percent month on month to 640,877 mt, up 18.9 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports decreased by 67.5 percent to $110.3 million compared to the previous month and rising by 126 percent year on year.

In the first seven months of the current year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 2.95 percent to 3.24 million mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $602.6 million, up 116.5 percent, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US amounted to 1,220,624 mt, while coking coal imports from Australia totaled 1,059,859 mt.
