In September this year, Turkey's coking coal imports totaled 285,948 mt, falling by 60 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $26 million, down 62.6 percent year on year.
In the first nine months, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 8.5 percent to 3.67 million mt, while the value of these imports decreased by 26 percent to $327.3 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from Australia amounted to 1,758,101 mt, while coking coal imports from the US totaled 873,281 mt.
