Turkey's coking coal imports down 0.9 percent in January-November
In November last year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 142.3 percent month on month to 708,786 mt, up 47.7 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports increased by 166.6 percent to $120.63 million compared to the previous month and rose by 37.8 percent year on year.
In the January-November period last year, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 0.9 percent to 5.16 million mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $946.71 million, down 3.09 percent, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from Australia amounted to 2,570,301 mt, while coking coal imports from the US totaled 1,150,020 mt.
