Turkey’s basic metal production index up 14% in Dec over Nov

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December 2011 Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 3.7 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 2.7 percent compared to the previous month.

In December, the index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 0.4 percent year on year and was up 13.7 percent from November, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 6.7 percent year on year and was up by 13.5 percent compared to the previous month.
