Turkey's basic metal output up 1.5 percent in January compared to December

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up 12 percent compared to January 2017. 

In January, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by 1.5 percent month on month and was up 16 percent year on year.

The index for the production of fabricated metal products in the given month decreased by 9.2 percent month on month and was up 7.3 percent year on year.
