Turkey’s Akcelik completes acquisition of German-based BWS

Turkey-based Akçelik Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which has been operating in the special steel sector for the past 41 years, has stated in a press release that it has completed the acquisition of Blankstahlwerk Sindork GmbH (BWS) based in Germany. With this acquisition, the company has made the first investment within the scope of its strategy to grow in the overseas market.

BWS, which supplies bright steel to the automotive and machinery manufacturing sectors via downstream peeling operations in a diameter range of 14-200 mm at its production plants in Köln, will now be called Akcelik Blankstahl und Service Center GmbH.
