SteelOrbis has learnt that Turkish steel producer Koc Metalurji has concluded its first-ever billet export booking, for 10,000 mt for March shipment.

The company aims to sell 30-35 percent of its monthly billet production to the export markets due to the contraction in the domestic market in the current year, while it is currently in the final stages of negotiations to conclude other billet export bookings, according to market sources.

The company has an annual liquid steel production capacity of 1.2 million mt.
