Tulachermet repairs casting machines

One of the world's largest producers of merchant pig iron, Russian-based Tulachermet, has started the overhaul of casting machine No. 6 at its blast furnace shop.

The overhaul, which is to be carried out over a period of 63 days, includes the replacement of the casting machine's main equipment and is expected to increase reliability and productivity.

Moreover, in 2009 Tulachermet plans to repair its casting machines No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5.
