Japan-based shipping firm Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has recently announced it has signed a memorandum of agreement with Turkish steel producer Tosyali Holding A.S. The agreement implies the development of the strategic partnership between the sides in the field of transportation of raw materials and steel products for Tosyali assets, SteelOrbis understands.

As a result, the agreement is expected to serve the interests of the steel producer in Turkey and Algeria where Tosyali became fully integrated at the end of 2018, having launched a DRI-module and pelletizing plant. In addition, according to the preliminary information, MOL will also be involved in the logistics operations connected with the Tosyali Senegal-based project.
