Tonggang Mining produces 435,300 mt of iron ore in Jan-Feb

On March 27, Beijing-based Chinese steel giant Shougang Group announced that in the January-February period of the current year its subsidiary Shougang Tonggang Mining Co. produced 435,300 mt of iron ore, equivalent to 100.87 percent of the production target for the period. Furthermore, in January-February its outputs of pellets and pig iron reached 190,200 mt and 57,700 mt respectively, accomplishing 101.15 percent and 103.4 percent of the production targets for the given period. Additionally, in the first two months of the current year Shougang Tonggang Mining’s net profit totaled RMB 17.78 million ($2.86 million), RMB 780,000 ($125,401) higher than the target for the month.
