TMS International receives first M.E.N.A contracts

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based TMS International Corporation (TMS), the parent company of Tube City IMS Corp., announced Thursday that it has secured new contracts with steel mills in Dunkergue, France and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates totaling over $84 million collectively.

In Dunkergue, TMS received a seven year contract for the handling, preparing and sizing of scrap steel. In Abu Dhabi, TMS will focus on material handling, hot pit furnace slag excavation, metal reclamation, scrap management, DRI handling and billet transportation and logistics. The Abu Dhabi contract marks TMS' first steel services contract in the Middle East. Already, TMS is the largest provider of outsourced industrial services to steel mills in North America.
