TMK's Seversky Tube Works to commission seamless pipe facility in 2014

The largest Russian pipe company TMK Group has stated that its Russia-based Seversky Tube Works plans in 2014 to launch a new line for the production of seamless pipes with a continuous rolling ‘fine quality mill’ (FQM) plant, which will significantly improve the quality of pipe manufactured as well as expand the product range. The new continuous mill with a capacity of 600 mt per year will produce hot rolled seamless pipes with diameters of 168-339 mm and wall thickness of 6.4-40.0 mm. The total investment cost will be Ruble 17 billion ($559 million).
