Russia-based TMK, one of the world's leading oil and gas steel pipe producers, has announced the signing a technological partnership agreement for 2015-17 with Gazprom Neft, Russia’s fourth largest oil producer.

The main goals of this partnership are: production of import-replacing and new product varieties, after-sales services, conceptual engineering of equipment and well-building technologies, as well as, potentially, creation of a single scientific research platform for developing Gazprom Neft’s more complex deposits.

Under the agreement, TMK and Gazprom Neft will support the development of the Chonsky Group and Kuyumbinskoye deposits and will work more closely on after-sales services: for example, TMK experts will offer engineering support on pipes with premium threaded joints. Furthermore, the two parties will work together on integrated well completion.
