The Russian pipe producer TMK has released its production results for the first quarter of 2007. Accordingly, during the period in question TMK's shipments of seamless pipes increased 12.2 percent, while those of welded pipes increased by 11.3 percent. The respective figures in metric tons were 533,400 and 250,400. The company explained its rise in shipments in Q1 by the introduction of new production capacities, as well as by an increased demand for pipes from Russian and foreign consumers.
