TMK orders large dia. pipe line from HAEUSLER

The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) and Swiss-based company HAEUSLER AG have signed a contract for the supply of a large diameter longitudinal welded pipe production line to be installed at TMK's subsidiary, Volzhsky Pipe Plant. The new facility will produce longitudinal welded pipes with diameter of between 530 mm and 1,420 mm and wall thickness of up to 42 mm and strength group of up to X100. These products are used in oil and gas pipeline construction. TMK plans to start production in the third quarter of 2007, with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million metric tons.
