Russia's biggest oil and gas pipe producer TMK has announced that it has commenced shipments of large diameter welded pipe and seamless line pipe to Turkmenistan's state-owned oil and gas company Turkmenneft.

Under the terms of the agreement, TMK is to supply Turkmenneft with large diameter pipe of 09 GSF steel grades of 720mm outside diameter and 14 mm wall thickness, and with seamless oil line pipe of hydro-sulphuric acid resistant steel grades of 426 mm outside diameter. The pipes, designed for application in sour service pipelines, are to be manufactured at TMK's subsidiary Volzhsky Pipe Plant and will be used by Turkmenneft for maintenance purposes.

Accordingly, in December TMK plans to deliver to Turkmenneft about 3,000 mt of tubular goods.
