TMK-ARTROM starts production at new rolling mill

TMK- ARTROM, Romania-based subsidiary of the Russian pipe producer TMK, has commenced production at its new Cross Piercing Elongator (CPE) pipe rolling mill. The new CPE mill will produce general purpose seamless pipes with 21-114 mm diameter, which are widely used in the machine-building industry. Installation of the mill with an annual capacity of 100,000 metric tons allows the doubling of TMK-ARTROM's overall production capacity. In addition, the new CPE mill has an upgrade option, which makes possible a further capacity increase of 60,000 metric tons.
