Tianjin Steel again ups medium plate price

On March 1, Tianjin Steel announced an upward adjustment of RMB 70/mt ($9/mt) to its ex-factory price for medium plate. This latest hike follows an earlier rise of RMB 100/mt for the same product, which the mill announced on February 27. After the latest adjustment, the ex-factory price of 16-20 mm Q235 common carbon plate now stands at RMB 3,970/mt ($513/mt), while 32-40 mm has risen to RMB 4080/mt ($527/mt). The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 1, 2007.
