ThyssenKrupp Stahl announces price increase of €10

German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp Stahl (TKS) announced that they are going to make an increase in flat product base prices by €10/mt, however local stockists are not sure about the price increase to be accepted by the market owing to the war possibility in Iraq. Added to that due to low demand levels and concerns deriving from the unforeseen future, out of the ordinary buyers prefer not to make any speculative purchases during the period of price increases. Meanwhile according to local market sources, although lead times especially for hot rolled products are pretty long, such as twelve weeks for recently concluded hot rolled coil bookings, it takes six to eight weeks for HDG and up to ten weeks for cold rolled coil orders to be shipped.
